About These Terms
These terms apply to Camper Hire bookings with Camper Junkies. They work with the booking summary, the published camper details, the Cancellation Policy, the Security Deposit and Damage Policy and the Privacy Policy. If information specific to an accepted booking differs from general website information, the accepted booking record governs that booking, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Making a Booking
Customers must provide complete and accurate booking, passenger and driver information and accept the policies presented at checkout. Dates are checked again on the server before a booking is created. A booking is confirmed only after the required payment has been verified through Stripe and recorded by Camper Junkies; an enquiry, search result or abandoned Checkout does not confirm a booking.
Availability
Published availability can change until a booking is confirmed. Camper Junkies revalidates the camper, dates, capacity and applicable pricing immediately before creating the booking. If the selected camper is no longer available, the transaction will not be completed and the customer will be asked to choose another option or contact Camper Junkies.
Prices
Hire pricing is calculated night by night from the configured seasonal calendar and the selected camper’s published rates. The server creates an immutable pricing snapshot showing the rental subtotal, configured extras, discounts, total, booking part-payment, balance, security deposit reference, included mileage and excess-mileage rate. The established long-hire rule reduces eligible rental nights by 5% for hires of 8 nights or more. A valid promotional discount may then reduce the original hire price; a gift voucher supplies value toward the discounted total.
Booking Deposit / Part-Payment
For an eligible advance booking, the required booking part-payment is £150 or the full hire total if lower. This amount forms part of the hire price and reduces the remaining hire balance. It is not the refundable security deposit. Customers may choose to pay the full hire price at booking where the checkout offers that choice.
Remaining Hire Balance
The remaining hire balance is due 28 days before collection. Where the balance due date has already arrived, the booking flow requires full payment rather than the £150 part-payment. The customer portal shows the authoritative amount paid, outstanding balance, due date and payment status.
Security Deposit
A separate refundable security deposit of £1,000 applies to the hire. It is not part of the selling price, does not reduce the hire balance, and cannot be paid with a promotional discount or gift voucher.
What the security amount may be used for 1 Damage to the vehicle, including bodywork, paint, windows, mirrors, tyres, wheels, roof, underside, interior, fixtures, fittings, appliances or accessories occurring during the hire, except fair wear and tear or damage accepted by us as pre-existing. 2 Loss, theft, breakage or damage to keys, security devices, documents, equipment, inventory, awnings, cables, furniture, kitchen items or other supplied contents. 3 Reasonable cleaning, deodorising or specialist treatment beyond the standard changeover clean, including where required because of smoking or vaping, pet fouling, excessive mud, staining, bodily fluids, or failure to return the toilet emptied and cleaned. 4 Fuel required to restore the vehicle to the recorded collection level, plus any refuelling administration charge only if that charge has been clearly stated and agreed. 5 Recovery, towing, call-out, storage or repatriation costs caused by misuse, driver error, prohibited use, lost keys, wrong fuel, a flat battery caused by hirer use, or avoidable immobilisation. 6 Late-return charges and reasonable direct losses caused by an unauthorised late return, but only where the applicable charge has been clearly stated and the loss is supported by evidence. 7 Parking charges, tolls, congestion or clean-air charges, penalties or fines arising during the hire, together with the stated £50 administration fee for processing each notice where contractually and legally permitted. 8 Reasonable costs of assessing damage, obtaining quotations and carrying out repairs, including parts, labour and directly evidenced loss of use where legally recoverable and not already compensated by insurance. 9 Any other specific and evidenced amount expressly due under the signed Hire Agreement or these Terms.
What the security amount will not be used for 1 Fair wear and tear consistent with normal, careful use. 2 Damage or defects recorded on the signed collection condition report. 3 Mechanical failure, inherent defect or routine maintenance unless caused or worsened by misuse, neglect, prohibited use or failure to follow a warning. 4 Ordinary cleaning included within any agreed cleaning fee. 5 Unexplained, estimated or punitive charges that are not reasonably connected to an actual loss or agreed fee. 6 Any loss caused by our breach of contract, negligence or failure to provide a roadworthy vehicle

Post-Hire Charges
Potential charges can include evidenced excess mileage, exceptional cleaning, fuel, damage, late return, missing items or another accepted obligation. They are settlement obligations, not part of the promotional retail price: discount codes and gift vouchers do not reduce them.
