What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, phone or other device. They can help a website remember a session, provide a requested feature, keep information secure or understand whether something has gone wrong.
Similar technologies, including local storage and session storage, can also store information in your browser. UK privacy rules may apply to these technologies as well as conventional cookies.
This policy reflects the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the storage and access rules in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).
Essential Cookies
Essential cookies and storage are used only where necessary to deliver a service you request or protect the platform. Depending on how you use the site, this can include:
- security and session information used by Supabase for authorised administration;
- technical information needed to route, deliver and protect requests through Vercel and our application;
- short-lived state needed to complete a secure workflow; and
- fraud-prevention or payment-security technology used when you proceed to Stripe Checkout.
Essential technologies cannot always be disabled through the site because the relevant feature would not work safely without them.
Functional Cookies
The Campervan Furniture configurator and basket use browser session storage to remember choices on your device. This helps you move between steps without losing an unfinished configuration or basket. The information remains in that browser session unless you remove it or your browser clears it.
We do not currently use optional preference cookies to build a profile of your browsing activity.
Performance Cookies
We do not currently set optional analytics or performance cookies on the public website. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may still create essential operational logs to deliver, diagnose and secure the service; those server-side logs are described in our Privacy Policy.
If optional analytics are introduced later, this policy and the site’s consent controls will be updated before those technologies are used where consent is required.
Third-Party Cookies
A third party may set or access cookies when you choose to use its service through our website. We do not control the lifetime or detailed operation of third-party cookies. The provider’s own cookie and privacy information explains its use.
Following an external social-media link may also take you to a separate website whose cookies are controlled by that social-media provider.
Stripe Cookies
When you continue to Stripe Checkout, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies for payment processing, authentication, fraud prevention and security. These technologies operate on Stripe’s hosted service and are governed by Stripe’s own policies.
You should not send card details through Camper Junkies contact forms or ordinary email.
How to Manage Cookies
You can use your browser settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and site storage. Browser help pages explain the controls available for your device. Blocking essential storage may prevent baskets, configurations, secure administration or Checkout from working correctly.
Clearing browser storage can remove an unfinished Campervan Furniture basket or configuration from that device.
Cookie Banner
The current public site does not use optional analytics or advertising cookies, so it does not ask you to accept those technologies through a non-essential cookie banner.
If we introduce technology that requires consent, we will provide a clear choice before it is used. Rejecting an optional technology will be as straightforward as accepting it, and you will be able to revisit your choice.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this policy if the website, its providers or the technologies it uses change. The version and dates shown at the top identify the current policy.
