About These Terms
These terms apply to Campervan Furniture enquiries, configurations, quotes, direct orders, collection, delivery and fitting supplied by Camper Junkies. They work with the accepted configuration or quote, the Cancellation Policy, Returns, Warranty and Delivery, Website Terms and Privacy Policy.
Product Information
Camper Junkies manufactures and supplies campervan furniture and related products, including kitchen units, furniture systems, bed systems, bed boards, gas lockers, ply-lining products and other campervan components.
Products may be supplied flat-packed, assembled or installed where specifically agreed as part of the order.
Product specifications, materials, colours, finishes and included components will be confirmed as part of your order.
Vehicle Compatibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the product ordered is suitable for their vehicle unless Camper Junkies has specifically confirmed compatibility in writing.
Vehicle models can vary depending on age, wheelbase, factory specification, previous conversions and modifications.
Where we request information regarding your vehicle, you must provide accurate information.
Camper Junkies will not be responsible for compatibility issues resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer or modifications made to the vehicle which we were not made aware of.
Customer Responsibility for Vehicle Information
Where furniture or components are manufactured using measurements, drawings, templates, specifications or other information supplied by the customer, the customer is responsible for ensuring that all information supplied is accurate.
Camper Junkies accepts no responsibility for products which do not fit as intended where they have been manufactured correctly according to measurements, specifications or information supplied or approved by the customer.
Any alterations or remanufacturing required as a result of incorrect customer-supplied information may be chargeable.
Product Configuration
The configurator applies controlled option, variant, compatibility, technical-question and delivery rules on the server. Browser selections are not accepted as authority. An immutable configuration snapshot records the resolved product, choices, price and commercial route.
Optional Extras
An option or accessory is included only where it appears in the accepted order or quote. Dependencies and exclusions may make an option unavailable or require a different variant, technical answer, quote or enquiry. Laminate options are subject to supplier availability.
Accepted Quotes
Acceptance fixes the quoted version, scope, line items and price for that transaction. Later catalogue changes or promotional codes do not silently alter an accepted quote. Any agreed change requires a controlled new record or process rather than rewriting the accepted snapshot.
Bespoke / Made-to-Order Products
Many Camper Junkies products are manufactured or CNC-cut specifically to the customer’s chosen specification.
This may include choices relating to vehicle model, wheelbase, layout, laminate colour, edging, worktops, catches, dimensions, logo embossing or other customisation.
Once manufacture or customisation has commenced, changes may not be possible.
Where we agree to a requested change after production has commenced, additional materials, labour and CNC/manufacturing costs may be charged.
Pricing
All prices will be confirmed at the time of order.
Any optional extras, upgrades, delivery charges, installation charges or other additional costs will be confirmed before the order is accepted.
If additional work is requested after an order has been confirmed, this may be charged separately.
Discounts
At most one valid promotional code may reduce an eligible order. Eligibility, dates, minimum spend, product scope and usage limits are checked on the server and revalidated at finalisation. Discounts reduce the selling price and are not a payment.
Gift Vouchers
A valid gift voucher supplies prepaid value after any promotional discount has reduced the price. Voucher liability and redemption remain separate from revenue and card payment. A voucher is not itself discounted and cannot make the amount due negative.
Payment
Online card payments use hosted Stripe Checkout. A return or success page does not prove payment; only a verified Stripe webhook reconciles the order. The amount sent to Stripe is the balance remaining after discount and voucher. Where that balance is zero, no Stripe payment is fabricated.
Order Confirmation
An enquiry or unaccepted quote is not an order. A direct order or accepted quote becomes confirmed only through the applicable acceptance and verified payment workflow. The secure customer portal shows the current authoritative state.
Lead Times
Any manufacturing, completion, collection, delivery or installation date provided by Camper Junkies is an estimate unless we expressly agree otherwise.
We will make reasonable efforts to complete orders within the estimated timeframe.
Lead times may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including material availability, supplier delays, equipment failure and other manufacturing delays.
We will notify you of any significant delay as soon as reasonably possible.
Product Changes
Please check all order details carefully before approving your order.
Requests to change an order must be made as soon as possible.
We cannot guarantee that changes can be accommodated once materials have been ordered or manufacture has commenced.
Where a change is possible, any additional costs resulting from that change will be payable by the customer.
Manufacturing
Furniture is prepared to the accepted specification using the manufacturing methods appropriate to the product. Small production tolerances may exist, but supplied goods will remain consistent with the contract and statutory quality standards.
CNC / 3D Printing
Camper Junkies uses precision CNC cutting and, where appropriate, 3D-print technology to support an accurate fit. These methods do not replace the need for correct vehicle identification, measurements and allowance for vehicle-specific variation.
Materials / Finishes
Product photographs, samples and digital images are provided as a guide.
Colours may appear differently depending on lighting, photography and screen settings.
Natural materials, including timber and solid wood worktops, may contain variations in colour, grain, knots and texture. These natural variations are not considered defects.
There may also be minor variations between different batches of manufactured boards, laminates and edging materials.
Collection
Collection is available only where the selected product/order offers it. Camper Junkies will provide the agreed collection details when the order is ready. Customers will be notified when their order is ready for collection and provided with the collection location and relevant details.
Orders must be collected within 14 days of the customer being notified that the order is ready. If an order is not collected within this period, Camper Junkies may contact the customer to arrange an alternative collection date. If the order remains uncollected after reasonable attempts to contact the customer, Camper Junkies reserves the right to treat the order as cancelled and retain any applicable amounts paid, subject to the customer’s statutory rights.
Delivery
Delivery
Where delivery is available, delivery charges will be confirmed at the time of ordering and must be paid in full before dispatch.
Any delivery dates or timescales provided by Camper Junkies Essex Ltd are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We will make reasonable efforts to dispatch orders within the agreed timeframe; however, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by couriers, transport providers, adverse weather, traffic, supply issues or other circumstances outside of our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and ensuring that suitable access is available for delivery. Any additional charges resulting from an incorrect address, failed delivery, restricted access or the need for re-delivery may be charged to the customer.
Due to the size and weight of campervan furniture and units, deliveries may arrive by courier or pallet service. Unless specifically agreed otherwise, the customer is responsible for ensuring that suitable assistance is available to safely receive and move the goods from the delivery point.
Inspection & Delivery Damage
Customers should inspect all packaging and goods as soon as reasonably possible following delivery.
Any obvious damage to the packaging should, where possible, be photographed before the packaging is removed. If the courier requests a signature and the goods or packaging appear damaged, this should be noted with the courier at the time of delivery where possible.
Any damage, missing components or other issues believed to have occurred during delivery must be reported to Camper Junkies Essex Ltd as soon as reasonably possible after receipt, together with photographs of:
- the external packaging;
- any damaged packaging;
- the affected item(s); and
- the shipping or delivery label where applicable.
Customers should retain all original packaging until the issue has been assessed.
Customers should not install, assemble, modify or alter an item that they believe has been damaged in transit before contacting us, as doing so may affect our ability to investigate the damage with the delivery provider.
Where we confirm that goods have been damaged during delivery, Camper Junkies Essex Ltd will arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with the customer's statutory rights. Depending on the circumstances, this may include replacement of the affected component, repair, replacement of the goods or another appropriate remedy.
Risk & Ownership
Responsibility for the goods will pass to the customer when the goods have been delivered into their physical possession, or into the possession of a person identified by the customer to receive them.
Ownership of the goods will not pass to the customer until Camper Junkies Essex Ltd has received payment in full for the goods and any applicable delivery charges.
Customer Collections
Where an order is collected directly from Camper Junkies Essex Ltd, the customer is responsible for ensuring that they have a suitable vehicle and appropriate equipment to safely transport the goods.
We recommend that customers inspect their order at the point of collection. Once collected, Camper Junkies Essex Ltd cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect loading, inadequate securing of the goods, transportation or unloading by the customer or a third party acting on their behalf.
Nothing within these Delivery Terms & Conditions affects the customer's statutory rights.
Fitting
Fitting is not something we offer as standard. Please reach out to us separately should you wish to arrange this. The customer must make the vehicle available in the required condition and disclose modifications that affect installation.
Customer Vehicle Condition
The customer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is safe, accessible and reasonably suitable for the agreed work. Camper Junkies may pause fitting where undisclosed corrosion, damage, wiring, prior conversion work or another condition creates safety or fit risk.
Installation Limitations
Vehicle construction and prior modifications can limit fit or require adjustment. Camper Junkies will not make unagreed structural, electrical or gas-system changes.
Ownership / Risk
Ownership, Inspection and Acceptance
Ownership of the units will pass to the customer upon receipt of the units by the customer, or by their nominated person or representative. Where the customer, or their nominated person or representative, views, inspects, receives or signs for the units, this will be deemed confirmation that the units have been received and, subject to any defects or issues notified to Camper Junkies at the time of receipt, that the customer is satisfied with the condition and specification of the units.
The customer is responsible for inspecting the units upon receipt and notifying Camper Junkies promptly of any visible damage, shortage or discrepancy. Any such notification should be made at the time of receipt wherever reasonably possible.
Signing for the units, or otherwise accepting delivery or collection without raising an issue, will be treated as confirmation of receipt and acceptance of the units in their apparent condition. This does not affect any rights the customer may have in respect of faults, defects or other matters which cannot reasonably be identified upon receipt, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Risk in the units will pass to the customer upon receipt, collection or handover, as applicable.
Inspection on Collection / Delivery
The customer is responsible for inspecting the units upon receipt and notifying Camper Junkies promptly of any visible damage, shortage or discrepancy. Any such notification should be made at the time of receipt wherever reasonably possible.
Signing for the units, or otherwise accepting delivery or collection without raising an issue, will be treated as confirmation of receipt and acceptance of the units in their apparent condition. This does not affect any rights the customer may have in respect of faults, defects or other matters which cannot reasonably be identified upon receipt, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Faults
A customer who believes goods are faulty, misdescribed or unfit for their disclosed purpose should stop any unsafe use and contact Camper Junkies with the order reference and evidence. Camper Junkies will assess the issue and applicable remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Warranty
Warranty
Camper Junkies Essex Ltd provides a 3-month warranty on campervan furniture and units, commencing from the date of collection or delivery.
The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that are attributable to Camper Junkies Essex Ltd.
Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, Camper Junkies Essex Ltd will, where appropriate, repair or replace the defective part or component. We reserve the right to inspect the item and request photographs or other reasonable evidence before accepting a warranty claim.
#### The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Accidental or cosmetic damage occurring after delivery or collection.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect or failure to properly care for the product.
- Damage caused by incorrect assembly or installation by the customer or a third party.
- Damage caused by alterations, modifications or repairs carried out by anyone other than Camper Junkies Essex Ltd.
- Damage caused by inadequate securing or fixing of furniture within the vehicle.
- Damage resulting from movement, vibration or structural issues with the vehicle which are outside our control.
- Water or moisture damage caused by leaks, condensation, water ingress or other issues originating from the vehicle or its use.
- Heat damage, burns or damage caused by appliances or equipment installed within or alongside the furniture.
- Damage occurring during transportation after the goods have been collected by the customer or their nominated third party.
- Damage caused by using the product for a purpose for which it was not designed.
Any warranty claim should be reported to Camper Junkies Essex Ltd as soon as reasonably possible after the fault is discovered. Customers may be required to provide photographs and details of the fault and, where reasonably necessary, make the affected product available for inspection.
Where a product needs to be returned to us for inspection or warranty work, arrangements must be agreed with Camper Junkies Essex Ltd before it is returned.
This 3-month warranty is a commercial warranty provided by Camper Junkies Essex Ltd in addition to the customer's statutory rights. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or affects a consumer's statutory rights, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Returns
Returns Policy
- Standard Goods
Standard, non-bespoke goods may be returned where the customer has a statutory right to cancel or where Camper Junkies has agreed to accept the return is within 14 days.
Goods should be returned in their original condition, with reasonable care taken to prevent damage while they are in the customer's possession.
- Configured Goods
Configured goods are products selected by the customer from Camper Junkies' standard range of available options, such as standard sizes, finishes, colours, layouts, components or accessories.
Where configured goods remain within the scope of a statutory cancellation right, they may be returned in accordance with that right.
However, where the law permits cancellation rights to be excluded or restricted because goods have been genuinely made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, the relevant exception will apply.
- Bespoke and Personalised Goods
Bespoke or clearly personalised goods may not be eligible for return or cancellation for change of mind where an applicable statutory exception applies.
This may include goods that have been:
- manufactured specifically to dimensions or specifications supplied by the customer;
- uniquely modified at the customer's request;
- made using non-standard materials or components specifically sourced for the customer; or
- otherwise genuinely made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised.
Customers may request cancellation before production begins. Camper Junkies will confirm whether the cancellation can be accepted and, where appropriate, any refund due.
Once production has commenced, cancellations or returns will only be accepted at Camper Junkies’ discretion.
Bespoke goods remain covered by the customer's statutory rights where they are faulty, defective, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
- Returns Process
Before returning any goods, customers should contact Camper Junkies and provide:
- order number;
- customer name;
- details of the goods being returned;
- reason for the return, where applicable; and
- photographs or other information where the goods are reported as damaged or defective.
Customers should not send goods back without first contacting Camper Junkies.
Camper Junkies will provide appropriate return instructions where a return is authorised or required.
- Return Costs
Costs of returning an item will be down to the customer, the cost of which will be communicated at the time of request.
Where goods are being returned because they are faulty, damaged, incorrect or do not conform to the contract, Camper Junkies will deal with return costs in accordance with the customer's statutory rights.
- Refunds
Where a refund is due, Camper Junkies will approve and initiate the refund through the relevant payment workflow.
Refunds will be made using the applicable original payment method.
Once Camper Junkies has initiated a refund, the time taken for the funds to appear in the customer's account may depend on the relevant bank or payment provider. Camper Junkies does not guarantee a particular processing timeframe.
- Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
This policy does not affect the customer's statutory rights.
If goods arrive damaged, defective, incorrect or otherwise fail to conform to the contract, customers should contact Camper Junkies as soon as reasonably possible.
- Condition of Returned Goods
Customers exercising a statutory right to cancel should take reasonable care of goods while they are in their possession.
Where permitted by law, Camper Junkies may make a deduction from a refund to reflect any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what was reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
This provision does not affect statutory rights relating to faulty or non-conforming goods.
- Exclusions
Nothing in this Returns Policy is intended to remove or restrict any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory statutory consumer right, the statutory right will apply.
- Business Customers
Where goods are purchased wholly or mainly for business purposes, different contractual terms may apply. Business customers should refer to the terms applicable to their order.
Important distinction
For the purposes of this policy:
Standard goods = products supplied without customer-specific configuration.
Configured goods = products assembled or supplied using options available from Camper Junkies' standard range.
Bespoke goods = goods genuinely made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised beyond Camper Junkies' standard configuration options.
The classification of an order will be determined by the actual product and work undertaken, rather than simply by whether the customer placed an individual order.
Cancellations
- Scope
This policy applies to orders for goods supplied by Camper Junkies, including standard goods, configured goods and bespoke or personalised goods.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any statutory rights that consumers have under applicable UK consumer law.
- When an Order Is Confirmed
A direct order is created using the applicable authoritative configuration and price snapshot.
An order is not confirmed until payment has been successfully verified by Camper Junkies.
Once an order has been confirmed, Camper Junkies may begin procurement, preparation, configuration, manufacture or fulfilment.
- Cancellation Before Fulfilment
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact Camper Junkies as soon as possible.
Where we receive a cancellation request before the order has entered fulfilment, we will assess whether the order can be cancelled.
If the order can be cancelled, we will stop fulfilment where reasonably practicable and process any refund due through the relevant payment workflow.
The fact that work has not yet been completed does not, by itself, determine whether a cancellation right exists. Your statutory rights depend on the type of goods, how the contract was made and the circumstances of the order.
- Standard Goods and Configured Goods
Where you select a product from Camper Junkies' standard range and choose from options, colours, finishes, sizes, accessories or other configurations that we ordinarily offer, the product will not automatically be treated as bespoke or personalised.
For qualifying distance contracts, statutory cancellation rights may therefore apply even where the product has been configured by you from our standard options.
Government guidance confirms that a product assembled or produced following a customer's order is not necessarily bespoke where it is made from components or options offered from a standard range.
Where statutory cancellation rights apply, we will handle cancellation, return and refunds in accordance with those rights.
5. Bespoke and Personalised Goods Bespoke or clearly personalised goods may not be eligible for return or cancellation for change of mind where an applicable statutory exception applies.
This may include goods that have been:
- manufactured specifically to dimensions or specifications supplied by the customer;
- uniquely modified at the customer's request;
- Work Already Started
If you request cancellation after Camper Junkies has begun work on a bespoke or non-standard item, we will assess the order and the applicable contractual and statutory rights.
We will not use this provision to remove a statutory cancellation right that applies to you.
Where a cancellation charge is permitted, any amount retained or charged will be limited to what is reasonably and lawfully recoverable. Cancellation charges must not operate as a disproportionate penalty.
- Cancellation After Dispatch or Delivery
You will be required to deal with this under the return policy rules.
- Faulty, Incorrect or Misdescribed Goods
This cancellation policy does not affect your statutory rights where goods are:
faulty or defective; not as described; not of satisfactory quality; not fit for their intended purpose; or otherwise fail to comply with the contract.
In such circumstances, you may have rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction, refund or other remedy depending on the circumstances.
- Refunds
Where a refund is due, Camper Junkies will approve and initiate the refund through the relevant payment workflow.
Once initiated, the payment provider or bank may require additional processing before the funds appear in your account. Camper Junkies cannot guarantee the time taken by a bank or payment provider to complete that processing.
We will confirm when the refund has been approved and initiated.
- How to Request Cancellation
To request cancellation, contact Camper Junkies using the contact details provided with your order or on our website.
Please provide:
your order number; your name; the date of the order; and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
Where you have a statutory right to cancel, you do not have to use a particular form or provide a reason unless the applicable legislation requires otherwise. The statutory model cancellation form may be used where applicable, but its use is not mandatory.
- Statutory Consumer Rights
Where you purchase as a consumer under a qualifying distance contract, UK consumer law may provide a 14-day cancellation period, subject to applicable exceptions.
Certain goods, including goods genuinely made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, can fall outside the ordinary change-of-mind cancellation right. Whether the exception applies depends on the nature of the goods and the circumstances of the order.
Nothing in these terms is intended to restrict any statutory consumer right.
- Business Customers
If you are purchasing goods wholly or mainly for business purposes, different contractual and statutory rules may apply. Any cancellation rights for business customers will be determined by the applicable order and contract terms.
- Legal Compliance
Camper Junkies will provide consumers with the cancellation information required by applicable UK legislation for qualifying distance contracts, including information about the right to cancel, the procedure for exercising that right and any applicable exceptions.
Where required, the applicable model cancellation form will be provided.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms limits rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Which right applies depends on whether the contract concerns goods, services, digital content, distance selling or made-to-order goods.
Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Responsibility should reflect the accepted specification, customer information, causation and reasonable foreseeable loss.
Images / Colour Variation
Product photographs, samples and digital images are provided as a guide.
Colours may appear differently depending on lighting, photography and screen settings.
Natural materials, including timber and solid wood worktops, may contain variations in colour, grain, knots and texture. These natural variations are not considered defects.
There may also be minor variations between different batches of manufactured boards, laminates and edging materials.
Intellectual Property
Any original furniture designs, drawings, CNC files, templates, branding, photographs and other intellectual property created by Camper Junkies remain the property of Camper Junkies Essex Ltd unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Purchase of a physical product does not transfer ownership of our underlying designs, CNC files or manufacturing information.
Products must not be reproduced commercially from Camper Junkies designs without our written permission.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with a product or service provided by Camper Junkies, please contact us so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.
Complaints should include your order details, a description of the issue and any relevant photographs or supporting information.
Complaints can be sent to:
Camper Junkies Essex Ltd Email: [email protected]
We aim to respond to complaints within 14 days. Where further investigation is required, we will keep you informed.
Nothing in this complaints procedure affects your statutory rights.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain mandatory rights to use another UK court where applicable.
